For many years, doctors have believed that cognitive activity could reduce one’s chances of getting Alzheimer’s disease, and for the first time, a study has shown why that might be. By being engaged in cognitive exercises, test subjects showed reduced amounts of protein in the brain linked to the neurological disease.
